  Reading Buddies 6 pm New Carrollton Branch. Rising second and rising third grade children. Children will be paired with a teen volunteer to practice reading aloud. Please sign up in advance at the Children’s Information Desk to make sure a Reading Buddy will be available to work with your child. Also scheduled for July 16, 23, 30 and August 6 & 13.

  You Can Tackle the World 2 pm Hillcrest Height Branch. Ages 15-25. Dave Thomas III motivates teens and young adults to look at their lives, what they want to accomplish and careers would make them happy.   Squeals on Wheels presents Old McDonald Had a Farm 10:30 am Spauldings Branch. Ages 3-5. Learn about and meet live farmyard animals as the song Old McDonald Had a Farm comes to life.
