Bowie Branch Saturday, April 17 1-4 pm
Edible Books Bake-Off Contest to celebrate National Library Week. Customers will create cakes which represent a book of their choice. There will be winners in Children, Teen and Adult categories. Entry forms available at the branch. 1-2:30 pm Entries accepted. 2:30-3 pm Entries judged. 3-4 pm Cake party and awards. Families welcome. Sponsored by the Friends of the Bowie Library.
Why is the Library Important to You?
Hillcrest Heights Branch April 12-17
Tell us why in essays, photos, drawings, raps or poems. Neat, clean and thoughtful submissions will be accepted from March 1-April 8. Selected entries will be on display during National Library Week. The Friends of Hillcrest Heights and library staff will select entries for display. Ages 5-18.
