Library Catalog
- Click on -- Click Here to Start
- Click on -- Your Account
Enter your patron barcode (from library card) and your phone
number including the area code and 1, without spaces. The phone
number is whatever is entered in your customer record so if this
does not work try the number without the 1 and then without the
area code. If you still have trouble, contact a Library branch
to have your record checked.
- Click on -- Item List
- Click on -- Renew Items
- Select item(s) to be renewed (Mac Users must renew all
items)
- Click on -- Renew all Items or Renew Selected Items
- Item(s) are renewed
After you ask to renew one or more items, GeoWeb displays
a Renewal Complete page that indicates each item's due date
and whether the renewal was successful.
Note: To print out any list--checked out items (Item List),
overdue items (Problems), or holds (Holds List):
- Press CTRL key and P key at the same time.

- Getting Started - Have your Library card and the library
materials you want to renew available. Dial 301-333-3111 on
a touch-tone phone.
- Entering your Library Card Number - Enter all 14 digits
of your library card barcode number. If the barcode you enter
is a valid number, you will be instructed to press 1 to renew
an item even if your card is delinquent or expired; however,
your renewal will not be successful. See Renewal
Problems for further explanation.
- Renewing Library Items - The barcode for most materials
is on the outside back cover or on the inside of the back cover.
It contains 14 digits and should look like this - 3 1268 08888
8888
- Due Date - If your renewal is successful through the
Phone-In Renewal System, a new due date will be indicated by
the renewal operator. It is your responsibility to mark down
your new due date.
To renew an item, please enter all 14 digits of the material
barcode.
You will not be able to renew your
items if:
- If the materials are overdue, you must take them to a branch
library and pay the overdue fines before they can be renewed.
- If your account has expired, you may not renew until you have
updated your record at your branch library.
- If your account is delinquent for fines and/or overdues, you
will not be able to renew any materials.
- Materials which have been renewed twice may not be renewed.
- Educational videos may be renewed once only.
- Materials which have an outstanding hold may not be renewed.
- Items borrowed through Marina may be renewed once.
- Some Interlibrary Loan materials cannot be renewed via GEOWEB
or by phone, but may possible be renewed once if taken to a
branch library for renewal.
- If the item is an entertainment videocassette or DVD.
- If the item has been placed on hold for another user.
- If the item is on someone else's library card.
