Library Resources
- The Library's collection of licensed databases may include information on this topic; these are commercial, copyrighted materials that PGCMLS licenses for the reference and research needs of its customers; often this material comes directly from printed books. Most of these databases may be accessed remotely, while a few are available only to users on PC's in our Branches.
- The Library's collection of electronic reference books may also include information on this topic. These online versions of printed books do not have to be checked out or downloaded; like databases, content can be searched and sections printed. They are always available for your use in the Library and through remote access from home.

World Fact Book
Country information includes sections on geography, people,
government, economy, communications, transportation, military,
and international issues.
- Flags of the World
Find large color images of national flags with information about the flag's history, variations, symbols and more.
- National
Geographic's Map Machine
View normal atlas type maps and dynamic maps with themes such
as weather, politics and resources. Information on the countries
includes flags and brief facts.
- Portals to the World
Links to country information providing authoritative and in-depth information about the nations of the world by Library of Congress Specialists.
- Rulers
Historical listing of heads of state with birth and death dates.
Also includes information on international organizations and
a chronology of related events from 1996 to the present.
- World Leaders
The CIA's current and comprehensive listing of international
government officials including cabinet members and heads of
state.
