- The Library's collection of licensed databases may include information on this topic; these are commercial, copyrighted materials that PGCMLS licenses for the reference and research needs of its customers; often this material comes directly from printed books. Most of these databases may be accessed remotely, while a few are available only to users on PC's in our Branches.
- The Library's collection of electronic reference books may also include information on this topic. These online versions of printed books do not have to be checked out or downloaded; like databases, content can be searched and sections printed. They are always available for your use in the Library and through remote access from home.

- IBDB (Internet Broadway
Database)
The official
database for Broadway theatre information, IBDB provides records
of productions from the beginnings of New York theatre until
today. Includes people, interesting facts and production statistics.
- Internet Movie Database
A huge movie site with recommendations, movie news, U.S. movie
showtimes, and loads of details on films, people, and characters. - Rotten Tomatoes

Searchable database of recordings by artist, album, song, style
and label. Includes biographies and music videos.
- ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) -- ACE Database Search
ACE is a database of song titles licensed by ASCAP in the United States.
Find songwriters, publishers' contact information and, often, some of the artists who have made a commercial recording.
- Billboard
Provides news, reviews, current charts by genre, trivia, blogs and more.
- BMI
A performing rights organization,
BMI represents over 350,000 songwriters, composers, and publishers with more than 6.5 million works.
- Festival Finder
Seek out music festivals in North America by genre, date, location,
performers or festival name. - The Lester S.
Levy Collection of Sheet Music
This Johns Hopkins University collection contains over 29,000
pieces of music dating from 1780-1980; search or browse the collection, view and print.
- The Mudcat Cafe
Traditional music site with chat, forums, kids'
stuff, and the searchable Digital Tradition Folksong Database
(indexes over 9000 folk songs).
